Center for Engines and Vehicles and International Engineering Competencies (CEVIEC) is focused on improving awareness and developing favorable attitudes and social norms towards electric mobility and the acceptance of electric vehicles; improvement of knowledge and skills of students and technical staff regarding the functioning of electric vehicles; encouraging entrepreneurship and employment in the field of electric vehicle repair and maintenance. Monitoring and improvement of legal acts in the field of electric vehicles. Development of curricula and educational plans intended for students engaged in electro-mobility; creating the technical base for scientific research for master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.

The CEVIEC is located in the laboratory space of the technical faculties building at Cetinjski put 2, 81000 Podgorica. As part of the INTEC project, an educational trainer for electric vehicles will be used for training in order to conduct practical training on authentic motor vehicles and automotive components. Moreover, they will have the opportunity to explore architecture of EVs and HEVs – Drivetrains of EVs, DC/DC converters used in EVs and HEVs and energy storage systems and design of energy storage systems in EVs and HEVs. The device collects various data simulated in the power unit, transmission systems, exhaust, airbags, vehicle air conditioning devices, as well as communication systems within vehicle units. Additionally, the device allows for the simulation of failures for safety reasons, failures in the switch and the junction box for the internal combustion engine, which represent very important aspects of sustainable transport. Ambassadors will have the opportunity to implement actual diagnostic and service tasks through the OBD 16-pin diagnostic connector, electronic control unit (ECU) identification, reading/erasing fault codes, displaying the operating system parameters, actuator test, control unit coding/configuration, and automatic search of ECUs. In addition, the ambassadors will conduct training on soft skills, such as communication, teamwork, using the Smoodle platform, and similar plattforms.

The CEVIEC will offer specialized services and training courses designed to meet the evolving needs of the automotive industry for the green future. These programs are comprehensive, meticulously structured, and tailored to cater to both industry professionals and individuals interested in electric vehicle (EV) technology.

The CEVIEC will provide a range of services that include consultancy, vehicle performance enhancements, battery management systems, and diagnostics. Specifically, their consultancy services encompass market analysis, infrastructure development, and policy recommendations. The performance enhancement services focus on optimizing electric drivetrains and efficiency tuning. Additionally, their battery management services ensure optimal longevity and performance of EV batteries, essential for maximizing vehicle range and efficiency.

After installing the equipment and reconstructing the laboratory space, information about CEVIEC will be disseminated through national television channels in Montenegro. Through the participation of INTEC ambassadors in television programs, necessary information will be provided to the general public and interested groups. In addition, all information about CEVIEC will be available on the websites of the INTEC project and the University of Montenegro, as well as on social networks. Furthermore, all ministries, vehicle inspection stations, companies involved in vehicle servicing and maintenance, students, and academic staff will receive information through official communication channels. Using email marketing technology, messages about CEVIEC activities will be sent. In this way, it is planned to ensure a sufficient number of participants in the trainings that will be organized within CEVIEC.
