• Increase the knowledge, competences, and skills of academic staff and students in the field of engineering with respect to modern and innovative mobility concepts to make the graduates fit for the local labour markets and to foster the development of Sustainable Mobility.
• Tackle the lack of multi-/interdisciplinarity in engineering by uniting experts from different disciplines (electronic, mechanical, automotive engineering). INTEC represents an interdisciplinary team covering electronic, civil, aviation, naval and automotive engineering.
• Equip academic staff and particularly students not only with more and better engineering competences, but also with soft skills, innovative learning/teaching concepts (e.g. real project- and problem-based learning, blended learning, Universal Design of Learning, etc.) and an entrepreneurial mind-set.
• boost communication, deepen existing cooperations and create new long-term cooperations between universities and industry / governmental institutions / NGOs in the field of sustainable mobility on a local, national but also international basis which may result in joint projects, internships as well as bachelor and master theses of students at the partner organizations
• foster cooperation between stakeholders and universities/academic staff/students through low-threshold platforms where academics/students meet (Community Building Events, IECC Joint Workshops)
• Raise the awareness on the importance and efforts of sustainable mobility and transportation among citizens and policy makers. Raise awareness of policy makers to the impact of universities’ research in Sustainable Mobility.
